Dodge Tigear-2 right-angle worm gear reducers combine a compact, sealed housing with high-efficiency worm gearing for conveyors, packaging, mixers and general machinery. Every reducer ships factory-filled with lubricant suitable for all approved mounting positions, so it can go straight into service.

How to read a Tigear-2 part number
The part number spells out the whole reducer. Example: 30Q15L14 = size 30, quill input, 15:1 ratio, left output shaft, 140TC motor frame.

Factory modifications add a suffix, for example HD (harsh-duty seals), LT (low-temperature lube), SH (stainless hardware) or BDyxx (special bore). Modified units get their own part number – ask us for price and lead time.
How to select a Tigear-2
- Find the ratio: motor speed ÷ required output speed (e.g. 1,750 ÷ 117 rpm ≈ 15:1).
- Apply a service factor: multiply motor hp by the service factor for your load and hours per day (see the catalog's service factor table).
- Pick the size: choose the smallest size whose mechanical and thermal input hp at that ratio meet or exceed the result. The table below shows output torque at 1,750 rpm input.
- Check overhung load: confirm the sprocket, sheave or gear load is within the output OHL rating.
- Choose the input: quill (lightest and shortest), three-piece coupled (easiest motor change) or separate with an optional motor adapter.
- Choose the output and motor frame, then add accessories – base, J-mount, riser, torque arm, output flange or bushings.
