Dodge Torque-Arm II (TA II) shaft-mount reducers mount directly on the driven shaft, so there is no base plate to fabricate or align. Patented twin-tapered bushings make installation and removal quick with hand tools, tapered roller bearings handle shock loads, and a harsh-duty metal-shielded seal system keeps contamination out. Use them shaft-mounted with a V-belt drive and motor mount, as a screw conveyor drive, or vertically.
- Sizes: 12 case sizes, TA0107L through TA12608H
- Ratios: 5:1 (single reduction), 9, 15, 25 and 31–40:1 (double reduction) – nearly 300:1 overall with V-belt drives
- Capacity: up to 200 hp and 330,000 lb-in of torque
- Bores: twin-tapered bushings from 1 to 7 in, standard and short-shaft; straight-bore versions for sizes 1 and 3–6
- Accessories: bushing kits, backstops, motor mounts, belt guards, tie rods, cooling fans and screw-conveyor kits

How to read a Torque-Arm II part number
Example: TA4207H25 = Torque-Arm II, case size 4 (AGMA code 207), heavy-duty (H), 25:1 nominal ratio. Each model also has a six-digit Dodge part number (e.g. 904001), and straight-bore versions have their own part number.

How to select a Torque-Arm II
- Service class: determine Class I, II or III from the application and hours of operation (see the catalog's application table).
- Speed: pick the reducer ratio, then size the V-belt drive to reach the exact output speed.
- Size: choose the case whose rating at your output speed meets the motor hp for that class.
- Shaft: confirm the driven shaft fits an available bushing bore (or a straight-bore model).
- Accessories: add a bushing kit, tie rod, motor mount and belt guard; add a backstop on inclined conveyors.
